1974 Z28 grill

Very nice. Several years ago I got one off eBay that was still in the box. All they listed was the part number and a box photo. 7 days later I was the only bidder. I believe I paid 25% or less of what it was possibly worth at the time. If it was mine I’d have a hard time selling it. I’d buy another car for it maybe. Good luck with the sale. I’d say 350-400 on a good day. 325-350 on the low side.

I have an original 1974 Z28 grill GM part number #341001 in excellent condition. This grill is black and has the 2 mounting holes for the grill emblem which I also have in mint condition. I have been told that the 74 grill with the center mount holes is not being reproduced but I could be corrected. Can any of you 74 Z28 guys advise me on a fair asking price.

I actually just received this said NOS 74 upper grill and NOS camaro emblem so not a scam. I saw it very early in the morning about 10 days ago on "All chevy swap meet buy and sell" Facebook group. Almost perfect condition considering its almost 50 years old. His wife actually listed it and after talking to both on the phone it sounded legit. I did pay $450 for it along with the NOS emblem in the original box. I didn't want to risk losing it by trying to offer less. Way too rare obviously and it was the last piece I needed since I found the NOS "lift for reverse" shift knob for my all original 74z and I've been keeping my eyes open for a long time. I still regularly keep an eye out for the unique 74 only parts.

Congrats on getting what you needed. I think that ‘74 grill has been discontinued 40ish years as mine had the “wrong” one (75-77) in it when I bought the car in 1984. The original owner sold it approx 1979 and he said it had the original in it then. So sometime during that 5 year period it must have been damaged and replaced with the one in it now.

I was quite skeptical myself with all the scammers flooding the different fb groups and such. I did my due diligence and after a couple phone calls and more pics and knowing they would accept PayPal goods and services I felt good about it. You do have to be extra careful these days.
