Started working on rear lower valance area and it was a disaster, lol. It was bent up very bad (not sure exactly how it happened) and had a ton of bondo. First pic shows how deep the bondo actually was. There was also decent amount of rust holes. Got all the bondo ground out (that was a mess) and started pulling the dents out. Cut the worst rust area out on passenger side. I know nobody will ever really see this area because of how low the car sits and it’s hidden by the bumper but trying to do it right. I just thought straightening the drivers side rear quarter was a pain. Geez!!

As I get wiser (and older) I tend to use more PPE. I remember days of being younger and not thinking twice about grinding/cutting or block san

ding without even wearing a mask or safety glasses. I guess I value my lungs and eyes more now that they don’t work as well as they did 20 years ago

Been working on the rear valance area for a bit now. Several rust spots had to be cut out and dents to be pulled out. Two big spots inside the trunk/valance. Got one of them cut out and new patch piece made and installed. Making and shaping patches is very slow (for me anyway). Starting on the second one now.

Still working on the rear. Been kind of busy lately and making these repairs takes me a while. As long as I’m making progress it’s a good thing.

Nice work. I purchased a complete rear valance to replace mine later. Either way its gonna be work to repair lol. Keep plugging along.

Yeah. The amount of time I spend working on all this I probably could have just bought new panels but I’m on a pretty tight budget. I’m definitely gonna have to replace my whole passenger side rear quarter so I’m trying to not spend much before then. It’s a labor of love for sure

I haven’t had any time to work on the car lately with the Holidays and work schedule and such. Planning on getting back at it shortly after the new year.
