It all started with a 78 that sat in a field for the last decade.
Automatic trans, 350, black interior, "yellow" exterior, beaten to hell (Mostly on the passenger size)

First impressions were not great. But I bought it anyways!

Started to tear into it. Its all down hill from here!

    Nests in the engine bay!

Pulled the seats, the carpet was.....busy
    [IMG]

Found an unfired bullet (under the carpet was nasty!)

    Then, I pulled the carpet...
The rust goes up most of the firewall.

    Rear passenger floor pan.

    Drivers side floor pan
    [IMG]

Both torque blocks are rusted through.

Cleaned up some rust, trying to maintain a sense of humor!
Not pictured is the rusted trunk, quarters, fenders, doors and cracked bumpers. At least its trying to pay for itself!

Forgot to mention the car needs both full rocker panels replaced...
At least it runs and drives right??
    Right??

So, basically every panel needs to be replaced/fixed.
Many said I should scrap it...but i'm pretty stubborn. One day on Facebook I found a suitable donor, bought it the very next day.

Overall a solid car, some surface rust, typical rust on rockers, rear valance, and toe panels. Manual trans body with all the linkage, no trans and a knocking 350.
Some kids went to town on it with rocks. Smashed all the windows and turns parts of it into a golf ball.

But, id rather fix dents than rust any day.

Pic from the add cause I forgot to take a pic from the back.

    Both fenders look the same.

    Dents

Roof seems okay, outside of a few dents.

The only real bad part, drivers side sub frame is toast. But the sub frame on the "yellow" car is good.

Looks like your making some progress hopefully you found the worst of it now.

I remember when I started tearing mine apart and jus kept finding rot... Seems like everybody that looked at it said I was crazy for putting any money in it then u get the typical stare when u say it's a 79... Like wow this dude's crazy lol.

Good luck keep trucking along and forget the nay sayers
