    Based on the issues outlined in the cross post above I replaced my relays with heavy duty Hella waterproof relay set up.. They are much more robust than what I had before. I also wrapped them in insulation and moved them to a cooler spot in the engine bay.

    Here is my gauge cluster with new Speed but Gauges......this is the mock up fitting. Tommorow there will be a Carbon Fiber face laminated on with 3M super sticky super thin double sided adhesive. The same stuff used to assemble cell phones.

    I used my favorite trick of filling the pores of the wood with super glue and then sanding super smooth with 150 grit to ensure strong adhesion.

    Green =Coolant
    Red = Fuel Pressure
    Blue = Oil Pressure

    During the day the letters are the colors above but a little hard to see in the pics. they should "pop" more with the black background.

    Now if I could only find someone to 3D print it I could make it available to anyone with a 5th Gen console.

    Now off on a drive to see if I can get a good log file if my fuel injection going lean on a down hill run to send to Holley or EFI System Pro. Not sure if I can get the temp above 160* today to get it into learn mode...

    No progress on gauge cluster or the lean issue. Got too cold before I could get a good log.

    I tried to put an order in for new Team 3 LT-III wheels but I think they are closed for the week. I sent an email 2 weeks ago and didn't hear back but I understand they are not that good with Email etc. Short story, New wheels for Xmas I hope!

    First progress post since Xmas day!! No progress on anything in my last several posts, not my gauge prototype, Fuel Injection or wheels. Wheels became a real chore with ET wheels and by the time I got it figured out I decided to redeploy my funds to a bigger payback. That means the C5 front brakes install is also on hold, but I can live with that.....

    Xmas in April! Bodymanbill has my car and is fixing all the rust and doing a complete Repaint!! So excited. Awesome progress already. The rust has been bugging me for along time. When I had it repainted 20 years ago there was no rust and it has never been driven on the rain although I did wash it frequently up until the last couple of years. No water on my cars anymore as I have a system that ensures no scratches but I use a waterless wash process. That is for a different post....

    I have rust in the usual places, behind the doors on the lower quarter, a little in the wheel well lip on the drivers side and some up by the T-tops. Progress is well underway and the pics BMB has been updating me with are below. They won't all fit in one post so a follow up post to come. Below is the repair behind the drivers door.

    Next post, Drivers door and wheel well repair....

    Here is the work being done to smooth out the waves in the door. The coolest is the body lines between the fender and the door were horrible from when the old door skin was replaced. That has been fixed and looks awesome!

    Lots of other stuff being done and will update....Need to figure out COLOR, not sure I want to stay with the stock Carmine 77 but want to stay in the same color family.....

    8pack, I would stay with the factory colour. I ordered those rims on my black 78 Z28 and they were so true that I barely found balance weights in them.
