This car is listed on eBay as well as CL locally in Chandler AZ.
The CL add says it was bought at Barrett in 2019.

History looks like it was bought at a Barrett Auction for just under $9K according to Barrett website in 2019.

The shifter boot area in the console looks to have been modified and missing are the N90 aluminum wheels.

I am not one to ever bash someone’s car or be overly critical except to point out obvious modifications on a low mile surviver. There are very few of these left and it’s understandable that there are bound to be some changes.

Found this interesting that it’s listed now for $18K in this environment?
    Thoughts?

I guess they bought it and promptly broke the engine? 29k miles and so much changed, enough to questions that mileage. And the paint & interior wear. I dunno. I think the $9k is closer to the truth than 18k. We will see.

I saw another supposedly low mileage car a guy on FB is selling. Chrome everything, even the driveshaft. Ugh.

i think they are just beat. I guess this lived outside for a long time. Its the extra pinstriping that hurts my eyes.

The drive one looks like it was replaced Put in the wrong spot. I think 18 is high especially in this economy

Below are images of my 79z blue one on the left (I'm the original owner - 26k mile survivor) and the one on ebay. NO WAY is that one close to an original or worth that amount! The grill is not a 79 as well.

Now way is that 29K orig. Maybe 129K is more believable. That interior looks kind of tired.
Lots of the original components that would support 29K mileage are missing.
My car has 36K on it and still has the original exhaust.
I have the twin to your Dark Blue Z there zzzzz28

Way too many things changed/wrong to be a 29K original mile car. And that's not a 79 front emblem.

Like mentioned in another post...a lot of the low mileage cars are bogus and I don't believe them. A car that has 29K miles should practically still look new and STOCK. The thing about these car is there is no 6th digit, so one roll over and now its a low mileage car. Unless these folks have the paperwork to back it up AND the car actually looks it, they should stop trying to push the agenda.

At least get the correct decal and emblem on the car and lose the 78Z grille emblem. So nice to see a bill for a few hundred in parts and the grand+ in labor. lol
