1979 Clear Windshield Replacement

I may need to make a few more phone calls. Safelight in my area won’t do classics. This place was about an hour away, I’ll keep trying. I don’t really want green tinted, if there really is an option.

Its not the shaded area the OP is concerned about, its the rest of the shield.....

That’s the clear windshield. This is the green tinted one.

(HOW are they seeing "green" from "blue"?? NO "green" tints, just blue.)

Crazy thing, I just ran into a window guy at the recreation club I belong to.

He’s going to get me a window and install the rear glass.

What window clips do I need for the front and rear windows? Are they the same or different?

What color is the interior?

If it's black, you will probably never notice the tint on the windows.

if you have original clips refurbish if possible (aftermarket not that great). i got my glass(set) smoke /w shade tinted, from auto city (imported). yes, the windshield had a more greenish tint, but all installed looks fine. yes, i have a black interior.

Auto City is one of the numbers I got from Safelite, they said they only have the green, and only can get it, nothing else is available.

Oh, I am almost certain that this car did not come with the clips. I know I had to get the chrome from a forum member long ago.
