I have tried to re installed the cruise on the camaro, the lower cable length and routing are
stalling the project. l have a 83 inch cruise cable but when routing it is about 20 inches too long. I tried from the trans (350) , over the sub frame and along the sub frame, up the wheel well to the transducer, it is about 20 inches too long. Any help would be appreciated, pictures
    would be great. Thanks Frank

Possibly check a speedometer shop to have it cut down to fit.

My 78 had a loop (6-7" diameter) in the cable next to the front of the transmission.
The car only had 10K miles on it when I bought it so I assumed it was factory and not the wrong cable.

That loop took up about 20" of cable.

I found a Pioneer cable the "proper" length for my 80 (with cruise) but it has never worked very smoothly.

I have found a Pioneer cable that is 63 inches with the right ends ( ca 3002 ) that looks like it will work.
Twisted, you said it never worked very smoothly, I assume you mean the cruise control but did the speedometer
    bounces?
I hate the idea of a loop.
    Thanks Frank

    The speedometer bounces.
I replaced the transducer (still bounces) but I haven't ever gone through the wiring and vacuum controls to be sure everything is functional.
The Cruise hasn't actually worked for over 20 years. :(
