is this the same as the 4 speed?

About the 4 speed I don't know. As I understand the 229 V6 engine was a 305 with the front two cylinders removed. So the back half of the engine is the same as a V8. PM me with your cell number and I can send you some pics of the frame mounts and linkage

Do you have the shaft that the pedals hang on?

It's the same as the V8. My car is a V6 car and when I 1st swapped it over to a V8 for my wife to drive all I did was get better clutch everything was the same. It was a great swap, wow that was over 25 years ago.
