1980 Z28 Upper Grille problem

Hey all,

I ordered a new upper and lower grille for my 80 Z28. The mounting hole on the new grilles don't line up with the holes on the car? Any thoughts?

The mounting points on the urethane front for a 78-79 grill are different from an 80-81 grill.
Other than than... They look identical.

Does your car possibly have an earlier urethane "nose"?

The bottom holes for the lower grill should line up fine with the plastic oval nuts that are in the bumper. The upper grill likely won't line up with the plastic nuts that are part of the urethane bumper inner support piece. I had to drill new holes in the grill to get the holes to line up. Hope this helps
