1981 Air Induction Wiring

I'm sure there is info out there but I can't seem to find a real good detailed picture of the wiring at the solenoid. If someone could post a pic under the hood, my car was missing the solenoid so I bought a replacement and harness. The new harness does not reach the original wire that comes through the firewall from the pedal, I can add a section of wire but this seems odd. Also, is there ground wire attached to the solenoid or just the orange wire? I'm sure it's not very complicated but if someone has a picture handy it would sure help.

The solenoid is powered by the orange wire and grounded from the mounting bracket to the steel hood.
(Can't ground it to the fiberglass scoop.)

One last question, any idea what awg the wires are? I'm guessing 12 or 14?

Haynes manual says....
.8 mm.

That's the metric equivalent of 18 AWG.
