Hello all,

My name is Matthew and im in the Sf bay area. Just traded my 1966 Ford Custom for a 1981 Camaro Z28 you see in image above!! Vin code match and real z28. I’ll post some more pics & videos along with this one. Forst off, where can I find the best parts for the price online? What sites do you all use? Does anyone have a good place for taillight covers “black out” and rear window louvers?

Long story, I once owned a 1979 Camaro in pic below and blew the motor, had no money to repleace. Sold it. Kicked my self for getting rid of it! Recently bought a 1966 ford custom (4 door) and fixed it up pretty. Had it for a yr then found thiz z28 online a week ago! Decided to go back to my roots!

Here is the camaro I traded for. It needs some interior work, dash, door panels. I want to get it all replaced here shortly.

Welcome to NastyZ28!

Interesting...
My first car was a 65 Ford Custom. (4 dr, 3 on the tree, 240 6cyl)
My second car was a 78 Camaro.

NPD will be your best supplier for a 79-81 dash pad. (Black only)

They also sell a cap to cover your existing dash pad if it's not too far gone.

OER (multiple vendors) PUI and Legendary all sell decent door panels.
If the upper plastic portion (under the vinyl) is broken, you will probaby want "Pre-Assembled" panels.

GTS makes the tail light covers.
Yup... They are still on ebay
And they are still using the pic of my Camaro!

That picture is 15 years old too.

The covers hid a couple of cracks in the lenses.
I've replaced the tail lights since then and I no longer use the blackouts.

It was always a pain taking the center section out from between the two side pieces to put gas in the car or open the trunk.
I forgot to put it back in place one time and lost the middle piece. :(
