I have done long haul twice (2017 and 2018) and partial before that. We love it. I am on the fence this year as the wife had a beach vacation already booked that week that we would have to cancel

I would love to do this once.

The first stop is only a 12 hour drive (700 miles) from home.
A trip to Champaign, Ill to watch the cars roll in at the end of the route would be the best I could hope to do.

I don't see a map of the Power Tour route on the web (yet) but I made a rough map showing the locations.

652 miles to the first stop for me, I'm going to plan a backroad route up there from GA and take 10 days for the loop.

Have a few 5th gen guys that are on board and done the trip a few times, would be nice to hook up with some Nasty Z members too.

I'm putting projects on hold until after this, I don't want to stress test anything 500 miles from home :bowtie:

If anyone is going, I'll be at the Dayton stop on day 2. That is if our Mayor and Governor will allow it to happen.

Looking at it now. Did the HRPT long haul in 2018 with my 2010 SS/RS Camaro and the 2019 long haul in my 71Z28. Words cannot describe this event. Sorry to see in 2021 it's 5 stops instead of the traditional 7 stops but at least at this time the 2021 tour is on. Summit is 476 miles from me and return from Champaign is 496. Hopefully I can find a 4th gen F body I can do the tour this year with. If not, considering a 2004 Monte Carlo SS Earnhardt edition would be a smooth road trip car.

Did it in 2019, already signed up for this year....actually was signed up for 2020 but was cancelled.

The pressure is now on to get the cage in, car painted, and back together. September will be here before I know it.

I might do the norwalk to dayton to indy segments. Should have the 81 painted and back together by then.

Did the 2016 Power Tour in my 78 Z/28. Had a great time. Only broke down once when 30 year old HEI module quit after I bragged to my co-pilot how good it was running. Went straight to Autozone , bought new distributor, changed dist gear in their lot, finished the trip. The support of the people involved is great. Always someone to help if you need it.
