I have some new 15 x 8 Minilte rims. Would 244/60/15 fit in the front and 295/50/15 fit in the back? Its for my 73 Z28. Went through the wheel and tire sticky but couldn't come to definite conclusion. Or should Ingo one size down?

I ran 295/50/15 on an 8" wheel for many years and 30,000 miles or so. It's a bit bulgy and is not recommended for that width of wheel. I didn't know that at the time the tire shop sold it to me.

Will it fit? Depends on how low your car is. Assuming it's lowered 2" or more it probably will rub. You might just squeak by if you pound the seat belt hump in and roll the fender lip and get the backspacing just right. Mine rubbed on the fender lips because I had too little backspacing. My offset was -0.35". I am lowered about 2" I think. It used to rub on both bumps and cornering.

Today I have 275/40/18 with +0.25" offset and it fits easy. Much more centered between the inner and outer fender obstructions. No more rubbing on bumps or corners.

I think you are limited to 235/60 & 275/60 if you want matching tires.
Cooper Radial GT, BFG Radial TA, and Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T are pretty much your choices. Ratings wise, they are all the same thing

That's exactly the sizes I have.

If the offset is correct I don't know why 245/60/15 on a 15x8 wouldn't work fine.
245/60/15 will work fine on 15x8's even on 15x7's. I run 15x7's on the front and 15x8's on the rear. The only reason I went back to a 235 on the front was that my car steers better with the smaller tires.
