Would someone please confirm for me that the 289 & 290 stamp should appear on the backside of the horns in the corner? Found a photo in the archives, just want to make sure. Bought a pair advertised as 289 & 290 from a 70 Camaro, but there is no stamp or date code stamp on the back of them.
How else would you be able to verify they are correct?

    Thanks for your help.

What other cars were the 289 and 290 horns used on? I've got a bunch of horns laying around, but I don't know what they came off of.

I don't know how many years the 289 and 290 were used but I know they were used in 69 as well. There should be a date stamped on the opposite side as the model stamp on the underside. Would read like 9B4 for 4th week of Feb.69

I think the horns themselves were used on munerous GM cars...it is the "swedged on" bracket for mounting that changes with application.

I have a very nice set of 289, 290 horns - never tried them. Make me a fair offer. Ben
