Hello I am looking for some info on those 2X4 wheel lifts that I see some of you guys build and use to lift your cars up about a foot or so. I tried searching on the site and couldn't find anything. Probably not searching the proper words. Any info/help would be great.

They work great, are extremely stable and inexpensive. we used rough cut 12 inch long 2x4's and built raise "cribs" for our 12 ton Caterpillar Paper Roll Handler LIFTs - used them when changing the oil and trans fluids.
Someone questioned a vehicle on them once... if they will hold a 12 ton lift they will hold a 2 ton car... lol

I used some scrap MDF I had. Just stacked them together and used 3” wood screws every 2-3 layers. Final measurements are 18 x 17.5 and about 11.5 tall. The wheel stops are just 1 x 4s

What do those things weigh? MDF is some heavy stuff.

I really like mine, they've come in handy over the years. From my second gen, to my son's third gen.
