Your CEA block looks to be cast in “G” July 31 1971 and the sequence number 46412 is nearing the end of the 1st batch . I have recorded a CEB engine cast in September so yours falls in place . Looks like a dandy.

The more I look at the casting date the more unsure I am it’s a “G” it could possibly be “C “ for March .

I use this Windows shortcut ALL THE TIME and once you get in the habit of doing it, I'm sure you will too. 
Press these 3 keys and hold them down at the same time. WINDOWS key / SHIFT key / S key
You can basically press all 3 using your left hand's fingers. Once pressed, the crop function will appear on your screen. Just crop the pic as big as you like, then paste it into a forum post, Discord, etc. Like so...
Boom! You're done!
Edit: Only one b in habit. Didn't proof read! Woops. Got it tho.

I had the same question, I Power washed the engine today, and the Trans. I will review again. I had also picked up two Elderbrock carbs for rebuilding. One is an earlier model slotted screw top with casting of 2844. Elec. Choke manual Sec. I suspect it is a 600 CFM?
I washed the Mtr and Trns on the stand today. Thought my idea of sticking balloons in the ex ports would suffice. No, so I blew them out, WD and chased with Mystery oil. put a wrench on it and with plugs still in, turn over and huffed at me... 24 yrs laying low!

But If trans is automatic, any small amount of water will loosen the friction discs' glue that binds material to discs. That glue is intentionally water-based. Only a little water in its trans fluid and it'll s#*^ the bed. It'll peel the friction material right off the discs. T shirt
