Friend of mine sent this to me yesterday, thought I'd post:

    Guy wants $34 grand for '81 Z

I sure hope the owner isn't on these forums as that price is way over the top, and that's putting it mildly. He's got a '78 Z28 auction also with the "one of one L82 engine" 'from the factory'. Guy wants $34 large for that one as well. No question these are very nice cars and he can ask whatever he wants for them, but get real.

Sounds like a lot. I know an older guy that has an 81 Z28(black with silver stripes) that he bought new in 81 and has been in the garage ever since. It has 40 miles on it. I am guessing it's worth $34k.

What's so rare about it? My first Camaro was an 81Z and came with a 350 and a 4 spd.

It does only have 27,000 miles. That gives it a lot of value. Might be worth it to the right buyer.

The 350 4 speed combination was only available in Canada for the 1981 model year.

never seen one with red interior with a black dash and console...

export model, low miles, etc...I wish the seller well, but I just can't see the price...
