355 not quite what I was expecting

    I went down your road with my first 355 build a long time ago -
    1) if its a heavy car - that big cam combo will feel like a dog you unless you crutch it with 4.11/4:56 gears or change the cam to a smaller cam

    2) unless you deck the block, stock builder pistons / stock style heads = low comp motor

    shoot for 11:5:1 and you will more than likely end up where you want to be - a strong hi-po motor

    In my experience - the old LT1 style knock off pistons (TRW L-2304) are the best starting point for a 355ci with an undecked block build on the cheap

    Try it with timing set at 36* total or 16* initial.
