What are you looking to accomplish? With 8-1 (which sounds about right for flat tops with an open chamber head) I definitely would not get an aggressive cam.

If I scored a newly rebuilt short block with flat tops I would try to get a few bucks out of those 049 heads and buy some small chamber aluminum heads. You get more compression and less weight. If it would have had domed pistons I would keep the 049's.

That’s a good idea, I’m curious how much those 049’s are worth.

Here is something for you. My 461 is the same as the your new engine, nice score by the way. I have mild ported peanut port heads, Air Gap, 850 Demon with a CC's 282S cam and 1 3/4 headers. The car ran the best of an 11.80 with the small heads, replicate that with your 049's and you should be able to hit the mid 11's easy. By the way my compression is 7.8 and the 781 049 heads I have CC'ed, most came in around 118. That is not to say some could be less. Good luck with your build.

My friend Kevin (tow truck driver) called me Sunday to ask abut an engine that some guy bought from a 72 Elcamino that had 049 heads on it. He said it had been sitting for 25 years and a guy named Rich who was restoring a really rusty 70 ish Camaro bought it and was asking about what to do with it. If you are that guy than I am the guy who's number he gave you.
