That’s a good idea, I’m curious how much those 049’s are worth.If I scored a newly rebuilt short block with flat tops I would try to get a few bucks out of those 049 heads and buy some small chamber aluminum heads. You get more compression and less weight. If it would have had domed pistons I would keep the 049's.

He said it had been sitting for 25 years and a guy named Rich who was restoring a really rusty 70 ish Camaro bought it and was asking about what to do with it.
