I appreciate that looking out I'm going to see about that skid plate that you were saying. But I have decided to go with the stainless works headers I just need a couple weeks to get the extra money. And also does anyone know what clearance issues I will face with the stainless works headers? I have the setback mounts that put the engine in stock position.
The Stainless Works headers are designed for a 1" setback and they come with the plates. They are very nice! They hang just about the same depth as the cts-v pan. I just bought a front runner, so I have some f-body accessory brackets and a firebird offset pitman arm I'm ready to sell
Awesome how much are you wanting for them? And what do the bosses look like on the oil pans the ones on the newer pans?
http://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/pts/4451809817.html You're gonna have to help me out, not sure what bosses are?
The notes on this pan talk about not having a dipstick hole. If I buy this pan for a LQ4 do I need to purchase the dipstick, tube and drill a hole to install it?
No, the dipstick hole should be in the block on that engine, don't forget to buy the dipstick and tube.
I've got everything with my pan gasket pickup tube windage tray and all already. Also my buddy offered to sell me a 6l80e trans for a great deal. I don't know much about this trans but would I encounter major programming problems or would this not be worth the trouble??
