can that be used in a stock 400sbc?or do you need the aftermarket block. unfortunately I am to far away and in Canada. i just got my hands on a 400sbc block only.30 over. Just tucked it away for now till I do some research.

You can use your block. Just when you get the machine work done let them know what your doing. I would buy a decent crank.
