    Hi All,
I'm turning 60 this year and I was thinking about buying a set of the Vintage style Torque Thrust to go on my 70 Z28 as a present to me. My wife remarked "you sure it's your 60 or 16 birthday?".

But anyways, If I do..I'll change the color of the VTT spokes to the factory color of the Z28 rim.
Anybody out there got a set of VTT on a Z with the factory color on the spokes?

    Thanks,
    Bryan

Welp, I didn't buy the wheels, but I did buy me a sweet Gibson guitar. Happy 60 Bryan.

Back in the 70s I had a set of ET brand "torque thrust" style wheels on my SS. ET painted them a dark color similar to the factory wheels. I had them for many years until I came across a nice set of Z28 wheels to replace them with. The ETs had slightly different offset than the factory Z wheels so they didn't fit as well as the Z wheels. All my pictures of the car with those wheels are on actual film pictures so I don't have any of those pictures on my computer.

Thanks guys! I'll get me a set one day.
Right now waiting on the Gibson. I sold a Les Paul Deluxe about 25 years ago and have always wanted to get me another Gibson electric. I've had my eye on one of Gibson's obscure electrics from the 80s. It's a 1984 Gibson Invader. It can book end my 1983 G&L that my wife bought me brand new for christmas. So a couple of oddballs.

If I was going with Torque Thrust mags, I would buy one of these 3 shades. I dislike body colored wheels due to too much of the same color on the car.

GM should have made a deal with AR for the 5 spoke mags on the 70-74 Z28’s. Then again on the 77-81 STD Z28 mags. I know 77 didn’t have an optional aluminum mag like 78-81.

Those ARs do look nice in that color shade. I think I'll have to shoot for Christmas.

I think you made the right choice. You can get a set of modern wheels anytime.
