I'm looking to get some new thumps in my car. I got a Orion STR Pro 10" Sub. And I'm trying to find some good 6x9s & 6.5" to keep up. I've been looking on Amazon, and for the best deal, I'm thinking the Kicker KS series. I'm not trying to spend too much though. Ideas? Thanks!
Kickers are crap now a days. I would go with something from Alpine Kenwood, Boston Acoustics, Infinite, Sony. Michael
Any suggestions on best bang for the buck? And, what about Amp brands? Im running a JBL Pro series sub in my other car. It seems to work amazingly.
MB Quart's.... Best bang for the buck & they make many different sizes for every application! From seperates to components IE: seperate mids & tweets with crossovers or all in one three way or dual's....Look into them you won't be dissapointed!
Any suggestions on the MB Quarts? They have like 3 types. I dont know which ones low grade, or High. Thanks!
I prefer Pioneer.......BUT........they have poorboy specials...and really good stuff. Pioneers have always had a much more FULL, rich sound in the lower volume compared to many others i have had. Look at the specs.....sensitivity is probably one of the MOST overlooked important specs. and YES a speaker with a sens of 93.2 db is a world of difference copmared to a sens of 88.4 db. But ultimately...it is the "system" that makes the great sound.....no 1 component is going to "fix" everything in a poorly matched system.
I have the MB Quart Onyx series 6.5" component set in my truck and they sound awesome. Are you going to run them with an external amplifier or just off of the head unit? I would recommend getting a small 2 channel amp to run them and you won't regret a thing.
Ended up ordering the MB Quarts DKH116 They sound pretty dang good! Just need to put an amp to them, they put to much bass out
