70&71 NOS windshield and door glass

At my place it's the kitchen. But I have my original 70 side window, replaced it with a better one off a 71, but not that much better either. Good thing is that I drive it in the summer so the window is always down. I might try the restore deal, nothing to lose there.

I'm going to create a post in the interior section on glass restoration. If it works or all goes sideways it will still be a help to someone...lol

That would be great. Many guys looking to save the original glass if it can be saved. And glass is expensive and not always made right.

I got all new glass in 1985 from Speedy Auto Glass and they all fit like a glove. Mines not a trailer queen so I couldn’t care less about date codes.

i can decode the date i have a chart give the date code.

I realize this is an old post but I’m interested in your windshield date code chart. I think my 1970 Z28 windshield is original but would like to know for sure. It has a JT-T on it. Not sure if that’s the date code though. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for that. My car was built in June of 1970. I’m seeing a JT-7. If that’s the date code then it very will could be the original glass.
