If memory serves correct it goes from the engine compartment to the top of the box just inside the firewall (hard to get at unless things are taken apart). I had my glove box out so I could see it. The connection is not very big but it is there. You also have the two cables from the heater control panel connecting there but to the left of the connection you are looking for. I could scan the page from the assembly manual for you if you need it. Email me if you want it and I will send it to you.

Hello, my 73 camaro heater blower motor wire came disconnected, any idea where i connect it back too, i found the wire on bottom of heater core box ? its about 20" long with a resistor and bracket on it/ looks like a copper prong molded into a rubber grommet Mike [email protected]

I’ve had 3 of my 6 grandchildren born since this thread started, the oldest of which is in grade 11. o_O In any event, you may have a tiny leak at the back of the master cyl, such that it dries before you see anything. Or else a pinhole leak at a rear wheel cyl.

I’d fill that reservoir, put the lid on, jack up the rear, put stands under frame, gently crack each wheel cyl bleeder open, (you might need a bit of heat) close them again, have someone pump the brake pedal then hold the pedal down, crack the right rear open and see if air bubbles come out. Repeat until there’s no air. Then same with the left.

Longer term you’ll likely have to remove the rear drums and check for seepage. Given the age of the car you’re likely best to replace each wheel cyl & master cylinder. While you’re at it check the front brake hoses for cracks, although the front discs are controlled by the front of the master.
