The rotor dust caps for the 70 Camaro, (maybe others?) are unique with a conical shape that I had not been able to find reproduced....until now. I stumbled across these for 69-82 Corvettes and for $14/pr, I figured it was worth a gamble. I received the caps today, test fitted them to a spare rotor and they fit great.

I realize this may be an insignificant thing to most since they cannot be seen once the wheels are installed and we do not pull wheels when judging for Legends Concourse during the Camaro Nats, but for those that do care, I thought I'd share.

John, Curious if youve compared with ORIGINAL 70+ Camaro ???

I'll most likely go with your find also, but curious on the match
(I have dented originals, so I'll find out if and when I order some)

I think LEGEND Judged Camaros should have One Front Wheel
    removed and The Spare.

    1) Better check originality of Rotor, Caliper, Dust Shield, Brake Hose
    Coil Spring etc etc
    2) Pull Spare to check DATE of at least One Wheel on Camaro
    3) Inspect Gray Paint color on Reverse to Match Jack Base

Simple Bottle Jack piece of 2x6 Wood or Hard Nylon/Plastic, Good Quality
6 point Deep Socket, even better one of those plastic lined lug nut sockets
Chock the other tires, set E-brake, 5 min off, 5 min on

Chuck - I compared it side-by-side to originals I have, but they're banged up and dented. To the best of my calibrated eye, they look spot on and closer than any other dust cap I've been able to find.

Yeah I bought mine from Camaro Central a few years ago too and they were a nice match to my originals. Luckily for us anal Camaro owners the Corvettes used the same style of cap.:bowtie:

Hi Scott - I just checked Camaro Central and all the dust caps they have listed are not even close...they must have discontinued the correct profile caps. Yeah, I think it's a sickness...but I'm in good company :)

Sorry Steve... I misspoke. I meant to say Corvette Central like you mentioned, not Camaro Central.

You had me worries there for a while...I thought I had searched all the Camaro/Chevelle/Buick/Pontiac/Olds parts houses, but never thought to look at the Corvette guys.
