Bill you going out for that auction?
No I don’t think so ,the shop is finally busy after a month and a half of no one driving , so will be hard to get away right now.
Having the RS nose, Big Block, 4 speed...good selling points for sure.
"1970 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS example has undergone a comprehensive restoration to factory specifications" This is a load of BS though...Lot many things not right on it for a 1970 SS.
Too much "rake" for factory specifications. My guess 55,000.00.
sold for 42K
Lots of "technical" issues with it, but a "matching numbers" car (whatever that means anymore).
impressive...that car surely wasn’t given the royal treatment when restored. Too much wrong with it and panel alignment sucks.
And that blue Z28 wouldn't bring $35k? A $26k premium for the red SS over the silver. Interesting stuff.
big block cars generally do better than small block cars.....especially when only 600 made of a certain model. The color helps too.....
Saturday sales usually do better. Alcohol is a great wallet lubricant!
The bidding stalled for a bit on the red car at the mid fifties, then it looked like the classic two guys who got into a bidding war. The more you look at the differences between the blue car and red car you see the details that make the red car a better resto even if the front springs are sagged-wrong..
