This is my first time posting so bear with me.
I managed to find a couple of AC "big eared" #15 caps over the weekend. I emailed Joe Perri because he restored a radiator cap for a 70 LT1 we restored a few years ago. I received an automated response that Joe has passed away and the business was closed. Does anyone know of a source to have this work done? I'm an old dog trying to learn a new trick with this stuff.

Feel free to call or email me.
    Thank you.

Thank you for the information. I spoke with Tim and he sounds like a great guy. Sending him both radiator caps for restoration.

    Thanks again.

    Hello Mike,

If you have the ability or time, could you post some before and after pics and approximate prices ?

Of course, I'd be glad to. Turn around time is about 5 weeks. Tim told me $150 to restore the caps, which is what Joe charged, and he uses the same plater that Joe used. I've seen the end result, and if you're a nut job like I am, it's worth the money. I understand everybody is different, but I like the challenge of bringing these cars back, money be damned.

I received my restored radiator caps from Tim at Gen2restorations a couple of weeks ago.
They look great. Price to restore.... $150 each.

To me the rivet head doesn't look right. Hard to tell for sure but it looks like the dimple in rivet head is machined instead of a stamped like originals?
    Is this a correct assumption?

Picture from the 1100 mile 1970Z28 (Charley Lillard's old car)

Definitely looks different. The restored one has a recessed machining. The 1100 mile car has a chamfer around the edge
