70 RS upholestry help

1st I would like to say it is get to be here. Admit it has taken awhile. We are restoring our 2nd 70 RS Camaro - 1st one our eldest claimed. I am currently tackling the rear seats. Any hints, tips or ideas will be greatly appreciated. We were fortunate on the 1st to have an old timer who had original material in his shop. he has retired. We purchased skins made by TMI and I am currently working on the bottom cushions then will do the upper back. Did notice that replacements don't have the extra flap - Should we reuse the original, add new ones or do we need?

So moving on making the burlap strap on the back seat. My better half found these 1/8" stainless rods. They come in 3 foot length. They original was 44" so 1 full length plus 16", just a an snug bend plus it doesn't rust.

Sorry I failed to taking pictures of the burlap piece. It came out perfect and stretched to 3" per factory info I had found. Back seat complete, now for headliner, then doors. Moving back to front.
