I almost bought a ‘73 4 speed maroon with black interior Z/28 in ‘74 but couldn’t come up with the funds which was probably $4,000. So instead I bought a 1968 Z/28 for $3,000.

Watching on TV, waited for about an hour counting down the lot numbers, here comes the commercials and 5 minutes of promos, car was sold and gone. 2nd and 3rd gen Camaros get no love from Mecum. Was another 70Z in the early morning auctions, Lot F41, also not shown.

Wonder where Dana Mecum has been? Can't remember the last time I saw him on a show. My buddy says he's probably involved in procurement of collections? There do seem to be a lot of private collections lately. Just got used to seeing him running around screaming

I was at Mecum yesterday and going again today. Being in Florida sure bets the -26 degrees and 25cm of snow expected tomorrow at home!

Did you buy that '30s park bus? That was a shocker.

Sold a 1935 Ford prototype park bus a couple of years ago for a friend. I had no idea what it was or the value. After seeing the bus today made me a little sick. IMG_7437.jpg

He was there. Just staying in the background more. Seems to be letting Frank handle the deal making now.
