72 Camaro SS street - strip build

My old build thread i had to delete due to watermarked pics from a pic hosting site so I decided to start over

Well anyways this is my 72 Camaro ss that I've owned since 1999 . Slowly over the last few years I've been building it into a Street - Strip build

Here's a couple of pics of my Camaro from a local car show a couple years ago

It has a 8 point roll cage certified to 9.90 et and a custom made sheet metal trunk bulkhead and custom lightweight carpeting installed that can be easily removed if needed

The front and rear suspension is set up for drag racing

Front suspension ...

Moroso Trick front springs

QA1 double adjustable drag racing shocks

15x3 Weld Drag lites mounted on 26x7.50/15 MT Sportsman front runners

Rear suspension ....

Full Calvert racing rear suspension with Calvert split mono leaf springs , Calvert racing Cal tracs and Calvert racing single adjustable shocks

15x8 Weld Drag lites mounted on 275-60/15 MT Drag radials

To stiffen up the chassis even more Competition Engineering subframe connectors were welded in . The cage was tied into the subframe connectors and body mounts and rocker panels

AFR 195 cyl heads , and as per Shafiroff racing reccomendations Isky #8005A valve springs .650 lift and titanium retainers and 7/16th ARP studs . The cylinder heads were massaged and cleaned up while new springs and retainers were installed
