The Ford 9" has much more aftermarket support plus the best axle retention . Also the main selling point is the easiest or quickest gear change

For sure...mine is painted, it has scratches that requires some touch up.

    Quick Performance 9" axle installed !! :)

The D/side caliper was not the correct part# from Quick Performance and they're sending me the correct part and should be here by next week . The brake lines are braided stainless steel and will work very well

The axle was very easy to install and the heavy duty spring perches mounted to the Calvert racing split mono leaf springs with no issues . The pic shows oil all over the shocks but the shocks are not damaged . The oil is from a bad pinion seal on my old GM 10 bolt
and the shocks have been cleaned
The driveshaft is being ordered tomorrow

I ordered similar driveshaft from Strange Engineering, still waiting...apparently they don't have any hardened slip yoke required for my TH400 (tail shaft roller bearing) at the moment.

Should be a robust one and more importantly, it shouldn't exceed its critical speed.

That sucks , hopefully your back ordered parts become available . I was told my driveshaft is 2.5 weeks out from being completed . The shop I'm having mine built is a well known here in the Desert racing community and builds driveshafts for Trophy trucks

The shop owner was telling me the chromemolly/ billet driveshaft will work very for my combo
