so spot welded from the factory? how did they fill the gap? thanks
It was filled with lead....didnt you say the previous owner swapped out the 1/4? That would easily explain why its not done the factory way.
yes, I believe so- so maybe the best was is to to use some por 15 inside the quarter panel and then maybe outside and have a plate welded on it?
thanks, great looking 70 you have
I can recommend a shop in Orange, CA. They did both of my 1/4 panels and they came out great.
Had my car painted at a different shop (long story) and would not recommend them...
sure if you can share the shop in Orange it would probably be worth going further for a shop that has had experience with this, Thanks
Hello Mark, you may have missed my earlier post in your thread.
Is the color of your car 60 Light Copper?
Sure, Rick Kreher's Customs did both of my 1/4s. They did a great job and were fairly reasonable.
originally it was, but resprayed years ago. it was to be Lt Copper, but this color is much lighter than original.
yup someone definitely welded those up. this is what they looked like from the factory.
Use a metal to metal filler like All Metal to fill that gap without cracking later...
