    To clarify my previous informational post. By three piece I was refering to the outer end pieces. Thank you Z28PILOT, your probably correct. My valance must have been replaced at some point.

    I busted & repaired the original center section on mine several times before I discovered the *flexible* replacement part.

    I like the replacement part much better than the original - but then I'm not restoring my car to show-room stock condition.

    My rocker panel paint is original as are my rocker moldings. They survived the years very well because my car had sidepipes on it. The moldings arent even pitted. You should see how well the aligned of the rocker moldins are from the factory. They are all over the place. My doors have never been adjusted since the car left the factory. Quality control was not the best.

    Thanks for the replies on the air cleaner and carb. Next question- I have an original A/C compressor for a 74 Z28- it looks different from most chevy compressors I've seen. Anything special about them or am I losing it?

    The AC comprssor for the 1974 Z28 had a bigger clutch and deep groove pulley.

    That IROC is totally sick.

    I'd like to put a Hendrick Motor Sports cup engine in that old Maro and make a few laps at Watkins Glenn or VIR.:)

    I'll just dream on with ya.
