One last thing Freddie. Does that car have a side emblem on it just forward of the door? I thought the D88 package made it so you didnt have any other emblems

ABSOLUTELY. we will be 100% showroom original unmodified. Its an original silver car. Its a 60K mile one-owner 100% original car right now. Mom bought it new in 74, my dad and I are restoring it for her, except the body work, which will be professionally done.

Sean , your car can and probally will look exactly like that one day.!!!! Isn't she pretty !!!:) I drool everytime I look at this car...

Yes ....it seems he added Z-28 Fender emblems or maybe the decals , this is extremely common to see both together. Also , the article states he removed the original Z28 motor to preserve and store it. He installed a LT-1 ( what the pic looks like) so it could drive it more /and harder.

Be sure to hunt down the "correct " silver paint formula for your car.

Note ....the "TEEN DREAM" doesn't have the Z-21 equpiment on it , very clean car indeed.

What issue of Musclecar Enthusiast did the 74 Z28 appear?

I bought this article off eBay couple years back. I looked on the pages and saw no date or any other info that could ID the month and year of the mag.. Probally from around 2000 I'm thinking

Fred,

I inquired with Richard who owns this 74 Z28 about his emblems and stripes by email a couple of years ago and he told me that his Z28 had the stripes and emblems when he purchased it from the dealer. His Silver Z28 is pretty nice. I still have his email address.

No big deal.... It wasn't factory authorized or optional, see em all the time.. the assembly manuel is quite clear.. Stuff like this could be done at a dealer to enhance sales or million other reasons:)
