74 Z28 air cleaner points vs. HEI

Anybody have photos comparing the differences between the HEI & Points air cleaner assemblies?

Also, would the 74 Z get a Cubic inch/horsepower decal on the lid?

No air cleaner decal... Believed they were dropped in 72 when HP went to net vs gross...

Probably started to look bad when the HP was so upside down to the CI?

A lot of people use it on the 73 Z28 motor where it was also incorrect . 71 was the last year .

The sticker is for the 245 hp 350 ci was the 71 L65 .

Yes... There's an indent in the rear of air cleaner body to clear the distributor with HEI.

My 70 has HEI in it. I installed the 70 duel snorkel air cleaner, had to do a small amount of work with a rubber mallet on the indentation for the distributor but it fit just fine.

Early 74Z dual snorkel air cleaners had a small indentation for points and for mid-to-late production, they had the larger indentation for HEI.
