Title was supposed to be:
74Z at local car show, no stripe.
How to edit?

Owner said it was a repaint of the original silver color, prior to him.
He though the fender emblems were on the wrong spot,
Rear Z decal since no stripes.

not many stock clues from outside, I guess you’d have to check the vin no. to know for certain T=Z28

Here’s the 979 mile original ‘74 z28. The z28 emblem on the grill in your pics isn’t correct and the fender emblems don’t look quite right either. Rear panel z28 sticker looks right.

I did spy what appears to be an original four speed TCS relay on the fire wall . Given the heavy mods and little else appearing original under the hood , it’s odd that’s still there …LOL ….I guess they had no clue what it was for and just left it ….there doesn’t appear to be any thing else that was factory smog .

But …..maybe the TCS is there because the CA pollution police want to see it ….but then it needs a boat load of other wiring , solenoids , temp sensors , air pump , etc items even to fake it …..lol. Just weird . LOL

Since the hood was open , I would have been nosey and checked out the trim plate …..it should have Z28 stamped on it.

The emblems on the fenders are not 74 Z28 emblems. Grill emblem shouldnt be there.
Grill should be silver. I could go on but I dont think this car was built to be perfectly correct.

pretty sure power brakes were std equipment included in the 1974 Z28 option . I don’t see a pwr brake booster ??

Also , they left the little HEI hood Ground strap on the cowling….and maybe I just can’t see it , but the trim plate appears to be missing , I did blow up the pic , MIA ?

and yes no doubt the z28 emblems on fender are too far back towards the door.

it is a nice looking silver Camaro body. , straight looking. Nice rake to the stance .

So maybe it was born with stripes...then removed so somebody decided to put on emblems, but in the wrong spot.
