    Hey all,

Just wanted to share a little update on the Camaro since it's been in the body shop - it's mainly been just rust repair and body alignment that they have been working on but we are finally getting around to the custom pieces I want done.

Here's the first one - I was tired of looking at those ugly headlight buckets and how they just slide over the front of the fender and don't give the smooth transition like the earlier years. So they cut the fenders and worked a little bit to give a nice smooth, flush look. I snapped this pic last week of them and I really like what they have done. Thanks - it's a subtle change but it was a much needed one. It just makes everything look so much more sleek. Wish they would have just done it this way from the factory.

    Nice modification!

It's not something most people will even notice because it just looks right.
Those are the best mods IMO.

Any more pics of what they did to the fenders?

Unfortunately I didn't get any pics from how they modified the fenders but this is what he said: we put the headlight buckets on like normal and marked where they would basically meet up to be smooth with the fenders. We cut the fenders and then formed a lip where we cut so we would have a flat service to mount to.

I'll be running by the shop later this week and can see if they snapped some photos of it.

Thanks! It's looking pretty slick. I'll be sending my bumpers off to be finished in a "brushed" finish and coated. Hoping that looks good as well.
