I know it's been asked hundreds of times but where can I find the some 79-81 models. Any stores or websites.
You're right, at least 100 times. There are no late 2nd gen (or mid 2nd gen) models or diecast currently in production. That's not to say they are not available. I've seen only one diecast, but several different models kits out there. Your best bet is either ebay or a swap meet. ------------------ '71 RS, '80 Z, '94 Z http://gmz28camaros.homestead.com/gmz28_1.html]My Camaros NorthEastern Ohio Camaro Club
unless ya count the racecars that action makes, but theyre not in production there were 3 made in 2000 and i believe 3 in 2001
Man that sucks. I hate how late sencod gens are so under rated. No love is shown from these toy companys, oh well. That racer one looks pretty nice. I think ive seen a nascar one a while back too.
I decided recently to get back into model building, only to discover there is NOTHING out there these days. I went to 5 different model stores, and not one of them had a 2nd gen period. Tons of first gens, tons of 4th gens, but no 2nd gens. Do the model company even make the plastic models anymore? I was talking to the owner of one of the shops, and he pretty much told me that the companies (revel...) are putting out the same things for years. Old GTO's, a 32 ford, and a pickup or two. The last time I built a model, there was a selection of hundreds. Now I get a selection of about 25. What's the deal? Does anyone know of a place to buy them? I checked EBAY, but I don't like the looks of those models. I guess I should stick with building planes. At least they still make them.
I see you are in Jersey. There are quite a few model/diecast shows in the area.I see the late second gen's in 1/25 scale plastic going for $10-$30.There aren't any currently produced that I know of so you just have to find an older unbuilt. Ebay 1718009049 1718165402
I bought a great one off of ebay for 30.00, new in the box, even bought a set of stripes in my color from another guy off there, check it out.

Hey Maro, Go to: http://www.bhh@houseofhobbies.com The owner's name is Glen. Tell him that "Ye Olde Modelmaker" sent you. Email him with what you're looking for, and if it's available, Glen will know. Very nice person to deal with, too. Hope this info helps, -CaptainLC- ------------------ 1970 1/2 RS.
