Hello, we recently got this carand it has a 5.7L engine so we are continually learning about it. The car has a cruise control, however it does not work. Any thoughts on this. Also, the power locks only work on drivers side. Does anyone have any ideas what's going on? and what I should look for? Thanks for the help!

Power lock failure is often one of two things. Put your hand on the lock knob when you attempt to lock or unlock the door. Do you feel the motor attempting to pull the lock? If yes, your lock mechanism is most likely gummed up to the point that the motor no longer can move it. Tear the door apart and lube everything until you can easily lock and unlock the door manually.
If you feel nothing from the motor, it likely isn't getting power. The wires going from the fender into the door are likely broken where they flex everytime you open and close the door.

What symptoms are you getting from the cruise?

Completly dead......no response? If so, it can be anything in the cruise.

Cruise activates but pulses the speed of the car radically? The transducer is likely defective. This part suffered almost 100% failure over the years, so most likely yours has problems.

Hi, cruise simply does nothing when you press it in. Could it possibly be a fuse? Thanks for the info on the locks, I will take door off and see what's going on with it!

Most of the times with the cruise, the servo motor seizes up.

Ok, thanks for telling me about the servo motor but what is it's location? Is it near the transmission?
