Going tomorrow morning to check out a 1979 Camaro Z28. What are some things I should keep an eye out for or be sure to inspect? Any questions I should be sure to ask? It is going to be a project. Thanks.

Assuming rust and the necessary metal repair is the most time consuming, difficult and expensive work:
Thoroughly inspect the floors, trunk, inner and outer wheel housing, bottom of fenders, doors and quarters and cowl area. Look for previous collision damage. Take a magnet with you and if possible someone familiar with or better yet an enthusiast of the 2nd Camaro.

Frame rails at the back of the car on the outside of the gas tank. Rocker panels below the door (inside and outside). Check for partial VIN on the motor and tranny and make sure it matches dash. Check trim tag on cowl. Ask for build sheet and other documentation.

Walk if it’s a T top, just my opinion.
