    Good Job! :D
Heater core doesn't leak and all the duct work has good air flow?
Did you measure that upper/lower gasket before you installed it?

That gasket won’t be here until Monday.

didn’t get as far as hooking up the heater hoses to check for leaks.

here’s a picture of the heater box to firewall gaskets. I found all of the gaskets for this project at Chicagomusclecarparts.com. They had a nice selection of hard to find pieces along with diagrams of various systems. I Sprayed a little adhesive on it to get it to stick to the heater box so it stayed put while installing 85B762F8-375B-4073-B304-B7E8BB18CA07.jpeg

Upper to lower air diverted gasket came today. Not much too it, strip of one sided adhesive foam. 18” long x 5/8” wide X 1/2” thick.

Painted the dash today and got all my heater hoses hooked up to test for leaks before the dash goes back in. Now the damn car won’t crank. Getting fuel, no spark I believe. I had a Holley Sniper installed recently, hoping it’s not something with that.

Finally got back to the Z for a bit today. Put the gaskets on the upper air duct, attached to to the new dash and got the dash in the car. Started putting the gauge c;usher back in and broke a tab, think it’ll be ok though. Wouldn’t mind getting a new cluster so I could get rod of the aftermarket trio of gauges...

all the wire hanging down on the passenger side so from a stereo install the previous owner did. The lower dash was cut up some to fit the CD player. I replaced it with another lower dash I had. Plan I getting oNe of those retro looking stereos soon.

Did you get it to start up?

Good work on the dash!

Nice pic on showing what the rear of it looks like with the ductwork attached.

You did a nice job on recoloring the dash too!
(I assume it was black when you got it.)

The no start ended up being a wire that was shorting. Had to call in a friend on that one.

the dash was black. I ordered the correct color (navy/dark blue) spray paint with it. The dash is top notch so far and fit really well. Makes the interior look so much nicer already. Kinda hated to cover up that beautifully refurbished heater box though

Finally able to get back to tinkering this weekend and buttoned everything up. New dash looks great. A/C and heat work like they should, good air flow from vents. Think I’ll be able to drive it in the summer now!
