adapter fitting for power steering.

i'm putting an ls3 in my 75 coupe. i have the holley front drive corvette pump and stock steering box. i saw somewhere that someone sells/makes a fitting to adapt the two. please help with vedor and part number please. the oldman....

On my LS swaps I use teflon lined -6 on the pressure side. Regular -6 SS on the return side. You can buy the adapter -6 fittings that go in the pump and the steering box. The steering box has two different sizes. I think I got mine Summit using the Russell brand. Sorry I can't help you with part numbers. Also you need if your steering box uses o-ring or inverted flare.

I’m pretty sure a 75 steering box would have the O-ring fitting.

The change to inverted flare came in 79 or 80.

Again I could be wrong but didn't the 79 and up have o-ring fittings in the steering box? I think my 80 has o-ring fittings.

You could be right.

I know the 79 and up has metric fittings.
It’s been so long since I replaced those hoses that I don’t remember for sure which one used O rings.

I just remember that the parts from my 78 didn’t fit my 80.

On my 70 and 73 with the same FE you're using, I used the stock Camaro pressure line with this fitting. I just cut and reflared the stock line to get the length and fit I needed.

You have that backwards. Early cars were inverted flare, changed to metrics with o rings in 80.

Which size of thread in steeringhouse and pump

I have taken the line of and there is no O-ring attached. So it must be the AEROQUIP FBM 2964 AN–6 ADAPTER?? I haven't bought a 3/8 yet I want to be sure before I buy one, I can buy them here in The Netherlands. Thanks and greetings, Erik. If it has the o-ring, it's metric.
