Is it worth getting the AFR hydra rev kit? You can see me new roller cam specs below. If any grind, mine would probably the one needing it. On AFRs website they said the rev kit makes 100 hp on a similar cam. That only happens at around 6,000 RPMs though. I will shift around 5,500 most of the time. Only on a full out race do I spin past 6,000. The highest I'll shift at is 6,500. Also, with the Hydra rev kit, do I need to buy lighter valvesprings than what the cam manufacturer recommends? Or, is the rev kit designed to add more spring pressure past what you would normally run? I know the Hydra rev kit is the only one that seats outside the pushrod cup so that you don't bleed down the lifters. Any other rev kit is designed for solid lifters only, since they put the spring pressure on the cup itself.
