Hi, I would like to install aftermarket gauges in my 73 . I can't find a blank gauge bezel to mount them in, has anyone installed aftermarket gauges? If so how did you do it and can you post any pictures? Thanks

I took my stock dash to a buddy with a brake & had him duplicate the bends in a piece of 1/8" aluminum.

Mine is an '81 style, but thought it may give you some ideas. I started with my original bezel, cut out the center, cut a piece of abs plastic to fit, and used epoxy to attach it. Basically created a blank slate so I could cut the holes for the aftermarket gauges wherever I wanted. No doubt that some of the aftermarket bezels look really good - but I'm happy, it only cost me about $10.

That is a sweet looking dash, I like what you did with the gauges. In my 79 I moved my 4 gauges over to where the center a/c vents were, I just didn't like how I couldn't really see the gauges behind the steering wheel. Of course it looks better in the car and with a speedo, I'm waiting for my new electric speedo to come in.
