This is the best write up I've seen for adjusting the glass in these cars.

Correct, it's a full kit, there isn't a need to buy anything else (besides doing the relay upgrade). So you have to look at the TOTAL cost of the EL regulators PLUS wiring, which is around $400. But even then, they are not identical products. I am not bashing Electric Life by any means either, just saying I decided on SPW based on my own research of others' experiences with the product. I am sure both manufaturers' kits function great.

One small aspect that also swayed me was the SPW products are US made by a small company. :)

These are the two kits you'd need from CI to have a complete kit, unless you use another wiring kit. Factory wiring might even work if the plugs are the same as the GM motors.

    $290 for regulators/motors -- http://www.classicindustries.com/product/camaro/parts/fwk103.html

    $135 for wiring -- http://www.classicindustries.com/product/camaro/parts/swk100.html

That's also before any discounts that are ALWAYS available. So assume 15-20% less than the combined $425.

So it's settled, junkyard is going to make my harness, and I'm going to buy regulators that work with it

OEM wiring harness won't work with the late model window conversion kits-70-81 cars had the window motors grounded to the door shell-they are not reverse polarity motors.
