I have a Eddy paper cat from approx 2016/17.
I have a Holley 780 mounted on Edelbrock RPM Air-Gap intake with dual snorkel air cleaner. Fits fine in my 1971 Z28.I have a installed a 2098 Edelbrock upgrade kit on my 70--350. I am going for the LT1 lookish and purchased a double snorkel air cleaner. Has anyone ever used a 7501 RPM Air Gap intake with the dual snorkel and a flat hood. I am panicking a little.
How does the height of the intake compare to the standard Performer RPM, Edelbrock specifications should include the height for each intake manifold. I ran a Performer RPM on the '79 with a 1" spacer and a Moroso breather with a slightly shorter filter, it rubbed the hood with the standard 3" filterI have a installed a 2098 Edelbrock upgrade kit on my 70--350. Curious, what did you do with your distributor?I have a Holley 780 mounted on Edelbrock RPM Air-Gap intake with dual snorkel air cleaner. Fits fine in my 1971 Z28.
I am told on this string somewhere that the LT1 manifold is actually slightly taller than the RPM air gap. 4.88 to 4.72.I had a 1972 z/28 (350 lt1 and a Thm400 auto, Holley 4bbl.) and installed an Edelbrock performer RPM air gap manifold. The stock hood will Not clear, even with the drop base style air cleaner. Cant fit an HEI without modifying the firewall. Also you need the upper alternator bracket from a late second generation Camaro to bolt to the manifold since its taller than stock.
7101 and 7501 are both 4.72"Thanks. It's also the carb height that is an issue for Matt Boggs and myself. I'm trying to find info on whether the Edelbrock Performer RPM #7101, 7104 (yours) has a different carb height than the Performer AIR-GAP 7501. Having a bit of difficulty tracking that info down. Found a measurement chart on Edelbrock website, but it does not list these manifolds.

I have this combination on my ‘70. It was REALLY CLOSE. I later opted for a cowl hood mostly for air flow. I am using a Holley carb.I have an installed a 2098 Edelbrock upgrade kit on my 70--350.
