Here's one for you. Just as WWII started, my Dad was diagnosed with TB. Operated on and in the hospital for 4 years. A lung was removed. Dad only drank occasionally, maybe a couple times a year. And only a beer or 2 max. He's coming home from work one day and decided to stop for a beer. Had one. Drove home. Just as he pulled into the community, the police pulled him over. Tested him and he failed. DWI. Never quite understood. About 15 years later, he had the flu. Mom wanted to go shopping. He knew there was no sense in debating this with her, so he took her. Before leaving the house, he took a Contact.....remember those? Driving home with Mom after her shopping was completed, he was pulled over. Tested and failed. DWI. After some further medical investigation, because of only having one lung, something about the oxygen level, or lack there of, gave a false positive on the "meter reader." Quick way to work around the device....get in the car, do the blow thing, the car starts and you then crack open a bottle.
