Here's one for you. Just as WWII started, my Dad was diagnosed with TB. Operated on and in the hospital for 4 years. A lung was removed. Dad only drank occasionally, maybe a couple times a year. And only a beer or 2 max. He's coming home from work one day and decided to stop for a beer. Had one. Drove home. Just as he pulled into the community, the police pulled him over. Tested him and he failed. DWI. Never quite understood.

About 15 years later, he had the flu. Mom wanted to go shopping. He knew there was no sense in debating this with her, so he took her. Before leaving the house, he took a Contact.....remember those? Driving home with Mom after her shopping was completed, he was pulled over. Tested and failed. DWI.

After some further medical investigation, because of only having one lung, something about the oxygen level, or lack there of, gave a false positive on the "meter reader."

Quick way to work around the device....get in the car, do the blow thing, the car starts and you then crack open a bottle.

I agree. i wont even waste more time than what it takes me to post this, worrying about this.

My first thoughts, are, since i hold a CDL license, im DUI at .04 (at least i think. i dont really keep up on this stuff because i dont ever try to test the limits of this.)
Since im DUI at .04 all the time, i mean not just trying to drive a CDL truck, but even my own car, how does that get set up? so, if i kick back a few barley pops, and my car wont start, should i go borrow my neighbors ride? Seems like that one might start up for me. What if i lend a car out to someone, can the breathalyzer thing be reset to .08 so he can have a beer or two and then go cruise around in my car? (not that i would do this, but lets just say)

Needs to pick up the smell of weed. Someone drinking in the back seat, driver does not get drunk. No such thing as second hand drunk.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. A couple of questions/comments.

First, if pain relief is your goal and you can get a 1:1 gummie in your area try that instead. It has a 1:1 ratio of THC:CBD. When THC and CBD are taken together the CBD cancels out most if not all of the psychoactive affects of the THC (has to do with how the THC and CBD molecules bind to your cannabinod system I think) and tends to amplify the pain relief and inflammation reduction benefits. It is called the entourage effect.

Edibles usually come in 5mg doses. 1 gummy, 1 chocolate piece from a chocolate bar (the whole bar is typically 100mg) I taffy piece etc. What was your edible and do you know the Dosage? Sounds like you might have taken a bigger dose than intended? Maybe it did not initially have an effect so you had a second one?

Again, sorry to hear you had a bad experience but if you are in pain it would be worth giving the 1:1 gummy a try even though the THC experience was unpleasant.

    Good luck

The “directions” said a serving was 1/10th of the gummy. So I sliced off a few pieces roughly so there was about 10 Even sized pieces. You are right, I had taken a second “dose” however referring back to said instructions it said effects can take 45 min to 2 hours to take effect. After 2.5 hours I took the second piece as I didn’t feel any kind of effect to that point. I’m sure that was my mistake but still don’t care for the wild ride it took me on. Drive a car? Lol yeah not a chance.

Common mistake taking another because the first one hadn’t hit yet, then boom both kick in. Also taking the second dose 2.5hrs later extended your experience with an intense bubble in the middle where both doses were hitting you together.

10mg for a non user could feel like a big hit. Everyone’s tolerance is different, some people could feel nothing. Lots of people get nice pain relief benefits. Don’t give up yet! A little experimentation might get you right in the sweet spot.
