Are you sure your thermometer is reading correctly or you know what thermostat you have in there actually is? An engine should run at or above thermostat temperature, it cant run under once it opens(unless it is defective).
Checked with two mechanical temp gauges plus a laser temp gun all show the same temp . Running a brand new Mr Gasket hi flow 180° thermostat
So you are using a Griffin 8000-10. Where did you get that from? I can't seem to find that exact part number? Is it one of their exact fit ones? Thanks.
Found it. Its 8-00010. Did it go in easy since it's not an exact fit? What did you have to do to make it fit?
Can I be a pain and ask you exactly what you mean by sheet metal fab? Did you need new longer rubber things for the bottom? Thanks
No mods were needed on the lower mount , it was the top mount that needed trimming I'll get a pic of the radiator to show how it fits
The radiator upper bracket need to be trimmed to clear the upper tank as the upper mount won't clear . Also radiator is not as tall as the OEM so added thicker foam as seen in pics This is the side of the upper mount that was trimmed to clear the tank . The rubber hose on the edge of the mount is area that was trimmed as to clear the tank
